A Reddit user with a YamadaPuckah account complained that the iPhone X screen was not working while it was at a temperature of -2 to 5 degrees Celsius.
Another user named darus214 also complained about the same thing. He tells his iPhone X screen can not be used outdoors when the temperature is very low

However, other Reddit users say that unresponsive display problems also occur when they are at normal temperatures, so there is a possibility that cold weather is not the main cause.
Realizing the problems that hit his device, Apple's representative said that they will be sending software updates soon. According to them, the problem is caused by very rapid temperature changes.
"We are aware of the incident where the iPhone X screen will be temporarily unresponsive to the touch after a rapid change to a cool environment.After a few seconds the screen will become very responsive again.This will be discussed in the upcoming software update," said Apple.
On its official support page, Apple says that iPhone, iPad and iPod touch (4th generation and later) should be used at room temperature between 0 and 35 degrees Celsius.
In very cold temperatures, Apple says that iOS devices will experience a shorter battery life. And if the iOS device gets too hot, then the screen may be dim or black.
